As a fourth-generation family-owned business, we have been delivering reliable quality for over 130 years. Individual advice is our top priority.



1885

Founded in 1885 by the master metal builder Philipp Persch, the company Phil. Persch Nachf. KG is one of the long-established industrial companies in the gemstone town of Idar-Oberstein.


The master metal builder, who remained childless, appointed his closest colleague Rudolf Henn as his successor with the condition that the company name Philipp Persch Successor would continue to be used in honor.

1950

In the 1950s, Fritz Henn, Rudolf Henn's son, started producing diamond cutting discs specifically for the local gemstone cutters.

1965

In 1965 our product range, which previously only included tools for gemstone processing, was expanded to include galvanized saws, milling cutters and drills for the plastics, glass and ceramics industries.

1970

Kurt Henn, Fritz Henn's son, has been supporting the further development of the company since the early 1970s. Shortly afterwards, the production of sintered tools with metal bonding began.

2003

At the beginning of 2003,  the company was relocated from the city center of Idar-Oberstein to our new factory building at Rothheck 16 in the Dickesbacher Weg industrial area.

2013

At the end of 2013 the company's legal form was changed to a limited partnership. Son Bert Henn joined the company as a limited partner. Kurt Henn remains the personally liable partner and managing director.
